Adult Career & Education

We are here to help you develop the skills necessary for meaningful employment or continued education.

Why Adult Education Matters to Our Students:

  • In Wyoming, the tailored Adult Education literacy programs have resulted in 70% of students making gains in literacy.
  • Wyoming Adult Education programs serve approximately 50% of working age individuals who do not have a high school diploma or are not literate in English.

Why Adult Education Matters to Communities:

  • For every adult who earns a high school equivalency, the country gains $6,250 in tax revenue and reduced expenses.
  • Nationwide, the estimated value of Adult Education programs to our economy in reduced costs for public programs for adults with low skills and low literacy is $200 billion annually.

Wyoming Adult Education vs the Nation:

  • Wyoming Adult Education programs ranked #1 in 2023-2024, awarding 629 High School Equivalency Certificates. Kelley Walsh High School placed second by awarding 438 High School diplomas.
  • Wyoming Adult Education programs were #1 in the nation in the percentage of students employed in the second quarter after they exited the AE program.
  • Wyoming Adult Education programs were #2 in the nation in the percentage of students who attained a credential (HSEC).
  • Wyoming Adult Education programs were #2 in the nation in the percentage of students employed in the fourth quarter after they exited the AE program.

The impact of no federal funding in 2026-2027 for the 糖心live Adult Education program would mean a decrease in the provision of all services by half.
